Small antique Grand Tour Roman obelisk. Made from marble, perhaps Trapani.
Likely to be early 19th or late 18th century, the marble has good wear to it and now has a lovely patina. The base also has an age worn feel and smooth rounded edges. A satisfying piece of neoclassical grand tour.
